Quad Cities based artist Brian Schulz is best known for his vibrant yet gritty street art inspired portraits. Brian is a life long artist who took a turn three years ago and began creating portraits using spraypaint over brightly colored and heavily textured collages . His collage work is built up using many layers of materials ranging from vintage newspapers to modern magazine clippings all contributing to tell a back story supporting the main image. Drawing inspiration heavily from graffiti and topics such as politics , war and modern pop culture , his work often teaches a sarcastic exaggerated life lesson .
